Information We Collect
We may collect information you choose to provide, including name, email, phone number, address, volunteer interests, event details, donation-related contributor information, and messages sent to Kane GOP. We may also receive standard website usage information such as browser type, pages visited, and basic analytics data.
How We Use Information
Kane GOP uses submitted information to respond to inquiries, coordinate volunteers, manage events, route township or candidate questions, process lawful contributions, maintain required campaign-finance records, improve the website, and communicate about Republican civic activity in Kane County.
Donations And Payment Handling
Donation forms may collect contributor details needed for recordkeeping and reporting. Card and bank details are handled by payment processors such as Stripe and are not stored by KaneGOP.org.
Third-Party Services
The site may use trusted services for hosting, forms, email, analytics, calendars, and payment processing. Those services may process information as needed to provide their functions.
Cookies, Analytics, And Advertising
KaneGOP.org uses two kinds of measurement, and they behave differently.
Our own website analytics counts page visits without cookies and without collecting your name, email, or full IP address.
The Meta (Facebook) pixel is a third-party advertising tool. It sets cookies in your browser, records which pages of this site you visit, and shares that activity with Meta so Kane GOP can measure and target advertising, including to people who have visited this site before. It is not used to collect what you type into our forms.
Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, both our own analytics and the Meta pixel are disabled for your visit.
How to opt out. Use the Do not track me on this site link in the footer of any page, which turns off both our analytics and the Meta pixel in this browser. You can also control advertising cookies through your browser settings and through your Meta ad preferences.
Email And Text Communications
If you explicitly opt in to text messages, Kane GOP may send recurring volunteer opportunities, event notices, election information, voting reminders, and get-out-the-vote messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of a purchase or donation. See the SMS Terms for program details.
Mobile Information And Consent
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, text-message originator opt-in data, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers only as needed to operate the messaging program, deliver messages, provide support, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from all other sharing described in this policy.
Sharing, Retention, And Contact
We do not sell personal information. Except for the mobile-information restrictions above, information may be shared with authorized campaign, compliance, technology, or volunteer team members when needed for legitimate organization purposes or legal compliance. Records are retained as needed for operations, reporting, security, and legal requirements. Privacy or messaging questions may be sent to michelle.bettag@kanegop.org, by phone at (630) 491-4164, or through the Connect page.
Updates
This policy may be updated as the website and organization workflows change. The current version applies when posted on this page.
